Me and my dad hit the water at 5:30 we launch the boat and i start out with a green hotspot flasher with a green splatter back hootchie. My dad ran a hot spot flasher and a cop car coho killer. Well i was not expecting to get much out there. But wouldn't u know it at 5:50 my rod starts bouncing so i break it off the downrigger and my rod goes down and the line starts going. This was a decent fish. After a long first run and some shorter runs we land the 15lb hatchery king. Gear was down at 50 feet at the bite. So one fish i was happy with that but around two hours later at 7:35 my rod starts bouncing again so i break it off the downrigger and it starts peeling line and is running like crazy so i do the right thing and let him run and he surfaces and we land the fish in around 5 minutes and it was another 15lb native king. But everything is legal in inner Elliot so in the cooler it went. Those were our only two bites of the day and we were done by 9:30. Those were also my biggest kings so far.

Are you sure about "everything being legal in inner Elliot"? I am trying to verifiy it in the regs since a few friends have been setting the natives free.

yeah i am all for releasing the bigger natives but this was my first two big kings so i kept them and yeah everything in inner elliot bay is legal. as long as the king is above 22 inches
