So had the boat moored at Des Moines for the week. All week was pretty rough, just 1 problem after another with the motors. But did manage to get 2 or so hours a night in after work. No salmon all week long. Dropped the pots by the stairs and walked away with about 8 for the week, lots of females and softies. For the most part we fished 3 tree. Friday we hit Robinson and marked about as many fish in 2 hours than we did all week at 3 tree.Went back at 1st light and all fish were gone, fished till 10:30 am and decided to go to Beals. Set the ball to 100' in 170' of water trolling a cut plug and 3 min. later fish on. Turned out to be a hatchery hen weighing in at 21.9 lbs. I tied for 3rd place in the PSA derby, but being my fish was submitted 2nd at the weigh in booth I got bumped to 4th. Got a Scotty electric instead of $750, but I was just happy to catch a fish and now 1 of my manuels and be summoned to the shed. Tried to submit photo, lets see how it works.
