Started fishing at 11:00 a.m. on Memorial Day. Moderate to strong s.w. wind and 65 degrees. The water temp. was surprisingly cool for this time of the year- 59 degrees.
Caught the first fish at 11:15 a.m., which was also the largest of the day, 4-1/2 lbs, 21" long. Caught several more that averaged about 15".
Not much for insect activity at all, but the fish were hitting on a crane fly nymph.
