went to the east fork of the Lewis this morning, the flow was a little higher than usual but the water was clear. went to all my usual spots that were fishable but got nothing. i tried spinners, jigs tipped with prawns, and a spin n glo. saw one large spawned out steelhead jump about 4 or 5 times trying to get across the river. there was more people than usual today, which is probably because this time of year SHOULD be good for steelhead. i have also tried about 3 times over this last week with no success also. the fishing would be better if the flow lowered. PRAY FOR NO MORE RAIN.

Try lucia falls. Last three times ive been there ive caught nice fish right above the falls drifting EGGS, thats the way to go.

Max,
Rain will bring in more fish...

That should help. Water runs higher in the winter because of the snow runoff...

all of the times i have fished hs been at lucia falls. were do you fish above the falls? if you are not 100 feet above the falls you are fishing illigally. does the trail take you to were you fish or do you park on the side of the road somewere?

I fish up by where the houses are and river narrows between the small cliffs.
