Went down to see what the water was like on the raging, well it was raging. visibility was about 6" and the river looked more like a stage 2 rapid, than something worth fishing. I stopped where it met the Snohomish and worked my way up to lake Alice road, looking for a spot that might be promising but gave up. Snohomish had about 16" visibility at the launch and was also flowing pretty fast. I had a feeling things would be like this, I didn't even take my gear out of the car. It was more gathering info than actually getting a line in the water. I'll be back in a few weeks. I watched a grapefruit sized rock get pushed 3 feet in 6 inches of water in about 10 minutes. I didn't even want to try and step into that.

Overcast, slight rain/ drizzle. 2 others at the launch. Left at 2:30 pm.
