Got a late start on the day my girlfriend couldn't find her fishing license. After a hour or so of looking we found it and off we went.It was about a hour long drive to the Skok from our house really a pretty drive with the road on the shore of the Hood Canal.Got there and we watched some guys fish for awhile decided to give it a try. This only being my second time ever river fishing for salmon I'm still learning. The water was swift and the nets were about every 200 ft.They weren't the usual gill nets I'm used to seeing they were those nets that allows the fish to swim over them into a deeper net holding pen.It was interesting to get a look at there net set-up.We didn't catch any fish saw a few catch some nice Kings using the old flossing technique not my kind of fishing the river fishing.Doesn't mean I wont try it again just not good at it yet.But for those interested there where fish there.
