Got to the river a little late today, around 9:00. The crowds are starting to thin only 4 cars at the bridge. Fishing was a little tough, the fish where only holding in select holes or undercut banks shady spots etc... found a big group of chum and hooked two very quick but all the commotion spooked the big school into hiding. Also landed and released one coho of about 12lbs quite red. The chums were both 10lbs. Nice day good luck guys.

heavy fly rods I hope this is a tough river to use lite gear. I use a 10.5' 10-20 lbs. rod with 20lbs line. and still lose a lot of fish. But that's part of fishing i guess. I suggest a bright fly a 2/0 or 3/0 hook chartreuse, red, orange. Good luck emo . ps. take a salmon rod just in case.

No worries, We do what we can with what we have. All the invasive bamboo is dying off so you can chase the fish pretty good now. Good luck buddy.
