Went to the Carbon River, tried to get to the Bridge Street entrance, but it was gated closed. I then just drove around and found dead end street off river st e. Saw few cars there, and figure people are fishing around there. The water look emerald green and was visible for about 3-4 feet. I really tried hard to see if I can spot any fish there, but couldn't. I saw a few anglers, but no one had any fish. I fished for about 4 hrs, again lots of snags from the tree branches and rock. But it was good to get out. I was walking back to my car and talking with 2 older guys (not fishing) and they mentioned last week someone caught a 17# and few other fish just below the hatchery. Anyone know where that is? And how to get there? Jens, lets take the boat out this weekend.

Nice report. Thank you. Just keep trying. If nothing else...you will know that river very welll come Sept-Nov. Provided there are no more floods.

Park next to the fire station and skateboard park then follow the asphalt path until you get to the river. the creek is about 1/8 th mile farther up the river. Or, you can go back to where you parked on River st. and walk up the river until you get there.
