Fished the NE end of the lake, south of the Sprague Lake resort
property, for black crappie and yellow perch. Big schools of fish
sitting in ~5 feet of water in this area, providing nearly continuous
action. Yellow perch were thinner in this area, but were being caught
farther out toward the middle of the lake. Around 5" of ice on the
lake, although it was still cracking under our feet farther out. One
person had a 22" walleye on the ice out in this area. No bluegills,
although I suppose if someone wanted to find the schools they would be
there.
