Went out with a friend to the Snohomish over by that Bob Herlman Park (what ever the guys last name was) to see if we could bug a few pinks. We were trying to get to the river bank by 5:45 (1 hour before sunrise) but got there just a bit after. Rigged up my 50/50 DN with a sliding dropper and started casting. For some reason, the stupid thing kept on gettng twisted and tangled. Really irritating. Anyhow, for about 90 minutes I casted, untwisted, casted, untangled, rinse, repeat. Got a couple of bites once it started getting light. Then, hooked into a small jack about 5 feet from me that was turning.

We did that a while on the rocks till we decided to find a place we could wade out. We went upstream and found a spot. Casted out and not much action. Then, decided that a pink Jig would work fine for that specific situation. Took off my DN and dropper and attached a pink jig to the main line and casted out. Bam, fish on. Released another jack that was turning. Cast a second time, bam, released a hen. Release about 10 and kept 3 for my friend and I (mine's for practicing using the new smoker). Great morning, saw quite a few people catching.

One thing, it's starting to stink now, saw a few dead fish floating by, guts and gills on the banks. The smell isn't as bad as it's going to be in about a couple of weeks. Just need a good rain to wash some if it away.

Thanks for the fish and fun trip Mike! It's funner to go out and wade than stand on the bank.
