Met up with Kinghunter. There was a familiar sound that could be heard from where I was parked, "Are they netting?" I whispered to myself. The spot where we fish was even unoccupied. "I'll still catch fish." I was using a Copper Rvfshr size 4 spinner and Kinghunter was using corky/yarn in chartreuse. Even with the nets in, I had high hopes and expectations from my experience on the Lewis over the weekend. We both were frustrated after an hour fishing. I headed down river towards the bridge with no success. There were about 6 fisherman along the bank. According to one of the fellas there said earlier in the morning some jerk foul hooked a big hen and took it home. I switched over to corky/yarn and was hung up as well as kinghunter every other cast. I guess there are some cars hidden below the water?? After an hour of losing gear, we went upriver to the handicap hole. We fished under the tressel and along the rocks below the handicap area. Nothing. No one else caught anything either, well except for the nets. Not sure if the cold weather and lack of rain has these fish on lockjaw or what. This is the first time fishing here that I have gone home without a fish let alone have one my line.

yeah i went this morning to nisqually and nothing. I was fishing two nights ago about 7pm and there were about 8 of us guys along the bank and we see all these fish just jumping and no one hooked into one. But i did see a kid hook into a seal rite next to me and when the seal came up you could see the hook in his mouth.

Tell me about it Mav, when fish go on lock jaw, it's pretty tough to get them to bite..
D-wizzle, we gotta hook up one of these times since it seems we keep missing each other down there..I only live 10 minutes from the river-

I think that was the worst day for the both of us losing so much gears. We were both disappointed about the "NO TRESPASSING" sign upriver from the handicap hole, when did that happen? Is it true you can wade in the river and then go upriver and not be trespassing? I have to admit Jens caught one of the biggest tree branch I've ever seen landed with his riverfisher lure, he said it was fouled hooked on the rear, but he still kept it. Shame on you.

i went over by the handicap hole and waded over to the camp ground and no one said anything. But who knows i've heard you have to pay a 6dollar daily pass fee or something like that to fish there. Yeah jens i live up ontop of the nisqually back hill by meadows elementry. We do keep missing eachother down there as well as kinghunter but i've probobly seen you guys but don't know what you look like lol. I was debating on taking a break until the chum run in about the last week of oct. But we will have to get together some time and fish for sure. Just let me know the next time you guys will be down there and where you'll be and for sure i'll come down.
