Fished the auburn area from about 1pm -4pm. No cohos today, but my buddys caught 6 pinks between the 2 of them. And I foul hooked and landed (after a looooong battle) a nice 10lb bright hen chum. Its too bad she was foul hooked because I probally would have kept it, a very bright chum she was. The river was terrible, I havnt seen it this high this year. Vissability was slim to none.

My buddy was fishing the freshly opened stretch of the green and had one bite in a few hours of fishing. It was a coho he battled for a few minutes on a pink/chartrues corkie combo, no yarn

"freshly open stretch" - where exactly is that?

The other side of auburn-black diamond road opened the 1st of Nov. I heard it was pretty much a waders only game with the river today though

Way to get out and enjoy the weather, what color is the river? I want to learn how to fish jigs, I have a bunch that are just sitting in my tackle box. Hope to get them out for those metal in the green.

I fished the Green on Saturday, near the 18 bridge. Let's just say the river visibility is almost zero, ha ha. The water is higher than it's been, moving quite fast. Checked out the hatchery, quite a few silvers there, so they must be coming up, too bad the river is too milky to see them. As far as jigs, I use black, had one silver one, but broke off after walking downstream chasing it. I normally use jigs in the Green, just bounce them along the bottom. But due to my bass fishing background, fishing jigs comes naturally to me. Unlike corky and yarn and them blue fox spoons... ha ha.

Yo Jens the river is like a was like a brown that day, not quite mocha but still pretty cloudy. Today the river looked great, or at least in the tukwilla area.
