Fished the stilly on monday and it was not good I was skunked.

I went back on Tuesday and within the first hour I hooked and landed this 12 lb silver. She was a fatty with tons of bright red eggs, that will be cured, and talk about chrome, she was a bright one. This one must have just got to the river to still be that bright. The picture does it no justice, as by the time the pic was taken several scales are missing taking away from it's beauty. The fillets are very red and boy was it good (had some for dinner tues) Anyway just shortly after I caught this silver the guy next to me caught a 9 1/2 lb chum and for the next 3-4 hours it was dead not another fish was caught although I saw a guy (buzzbait) hook and then lose 2, what a BUMMER, however I saw you did good at lake stevens prior to coming to the river(you can read his reports). So I thought I would try again on weds.

Well no fish to bring home today(wed) it was another tuff and slow day, however I did get to fight 3 fish that ended up getting away. The first one I did not get a good look at but the second one was very bright silver and jumped right in front of me spitting the hook. The third one I got close to shore before losing it but got to see that it was a chum and not a silver.

Oh and by the way, there are 4 sea lions or seals or what ever those are (some people call them one thing and then you hear them called another, I always call them sea lions) right below the dam having a feast. I stood and watched them munching the salmon and boy do they eat tons of salmon.

HAVE FUN FISHING!!!!!!!

@ tackle collector, yes I have seen drift boats in the stilly. The ones in the drift boats always seem to do good, would be nice to be able to get to all the good spots. However I am not sure about what areas are best with drift boat.
Just noticed my post does not have my photos, seems like that happens often. I am going to post them again.
