Ok so this is a 2 day report.

Thursday: started fishing in the Tukwila area at about 1pm and were off the wtare by 3pm. About 20 min. in fish on lost it. 10 min. after that I hook into a a12 -15 lb chum. After a 10 min battle I land the beast, he's pretty ugly though, so I let him go to spawn. Then another fish on foul hooked, and thank god he came unbuttoned, would have been a sore thumb. Then I hook into the nicest chum I have ever caught. She was only about 4lbs, but not a mark on her. Took her home for dinner, never again. Bassin 253 showed up and fished for a while as well, it was nice to meet you man.

Friday: diffrent story. Started off at 11am in tukwilla, drifting, no fish. Moved up to the beach in auburn drifting, plunking, and jigging. Had 1 pink on but that was it. Moved under the 277th bridge throwing jigs most of the time, then switching over to a spoon, my partner was plunking and throwing a blue fox, no dice. Hit Kent on the way home drifting corkie and yarn and jigging. Made it back to the house soaking wet at 5pm smelling of skunk.

datsun, pinks are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better tasting! That is, if you get 'em while they are still fresh, like in the salt water. But even if you get 'em with a little color I think the pinks are still the better table fare. Chums are very oily fish, and if you are gonna eat 'em you are definately better off smoking them rather than broiling or bbq'in 'em. That's just my 2 cents though....

Tight lines!
