Fishing is fantastic! 3 ft Chinooks rolling all over the river. Fish on all across the lineup. One fellow caught a 40 pounder.

Good to hear! We need those big ones to start rolling in. That will give me the motivation to get my river gear and head on down there!

? Uhhhh, using a wedding ring? 3 footers all over? 40 pounder? And in spite of all the other downbeat reports? Hmmm, excuse us if we don't take you seriously LOL. Maybe you'll get a couple people off the couch though and that may not be bad. Don't think I've seen anyone post a chinook 'caught' on the Puy yet this fall run season other than yours.

Awesome report!! Who would have thought to use a wedding ring for Kings!!!! Do you know if the person who caught the 40lbr was using a wedding ring too? I believe you have motivated us all to fish the Puyallup!! This is awesome!! I take it chartreuse is the color wedding ring that is the winna winna chicken dinna?

laughable report. I have 3 buddies who are down there almost daily, and not much going on. they aren't catching many in the sound either. I like the report and wish it was true, but it's not.

jens (and others)- ya I'll be trying to work the Green probably for coho later. Maybe get out on the Puy or Carb if the Mrs says OK. Been craving smoked salmon for over half a year now LOL! Was kinda hoping to get to the Quil when it opens but a bit too far for me unless my wife knows I'm bringin' home fish. Probably not gonna happen.
That's OK, reading all U guys' reports makes the day go by a bit better!
BTW, nice job getting your son out there and catching! I have a 7 year old daughter that I am praying takes up fishing in the coming years LOL. Hoping for pinks next year to be thick and give her the chance to get out there and learn more w/drift fishing while keeping her entertained enough to keep the attention span in check.
Tight lines.

UMMMM I don`t fish in the rivers but know alot of guy`s that do. A 40 pounder in the pu???? Maybe he was talking about the Kenai. Fished that river many times and that`s believable.

Well, I am at least going to pretend I believe you, and am going to hit the river ASAP. I must say though, that does sound more like Alaska to me. It will convince the family to let me go.

Just wow fellas! Smells like a cow pasture to me!!! Postal, love the hybrid comment, knot, we'll be down there... I'm sure you'll see us, jens, time and place bro. You know the drill. Bionic, I see your point. it wouldn't hurt to get a few folks off the skok... Fish just ain't in there yet. I've put time in down there this season. Hooked into 1 and that's it! All I've seen too. Action just isn't there yet. Oh yeah, and the obvious... A wedding ring... REALLY!!!

These are the reasons I live up north and don't fish down south! Or share info of what fishing is doing up north! We don't need this nonsense up here.
