Ok now putting in reports hasnt been my thing since there has been a few attacks on my reports in the past. Lets try and remember these reports are to help others and for a lil braggin as well.

I got to the river around 415 am, nearly 2 hours before fish time. I wanted a spot that gets a lil traffic but can only handle 2 people cumfy. I got my rod all set up with 2 #14 glow blue corkies and waited. Good thing I have my android phone to pass my time. I surfed the net checking craigslist and ebay for some good deals. Next thing ya know its go time. 6:05 arrived. I started tossing out my glowing goodies and I wasnt feeling a thing. Just an hour ago I heard the river full of life. Fish jumping everywhere. Why do I have to be so honest and wait I was now thinking. Kyle"fishinsince2" showed up and we started bsin. I thought I felt something so I stepped up to the plate with a swing and a miss. Just a few casts later I feel something different so I set the hook and fish on came out my mouth. Then I had to retract my statement, NOPE just bottom. I give it the tug straight back and it eased up but I still had something on my line. There was no fight just dead weight. Hey look at that. I got me some gear. Cleaned up my gear and back into the water I went. It was just after 7 and the sun was up but I still had my glowballs on. Then it happend I got a solid hit. I set the hook and it was on. And talk about fun. I was using my med weight g loomis spinning rod 9ft. Its made for steelhead and its really too light for kings. But man it made that fun. After around 10 mins or so I finally wore it out enough to beach it. 14lb hatchery hen full of eggs for me. Neither Kyle or myself had a net with us. I went back into the water after switching my pole over to my baitcaster. I was using 2 #14 rocket red corkies with some orange yarn. Kyle had just walked up to his gear so I messed with him. I cast out and immediatly called out FISH ON. He spun around and I started laughing I was just playing I tell him. But 3 casts later I did it for real. Fish On. Had it bite I set the hook and it was on. But only for a few seconds. It did a jump and I seen it really good. A nasty old boot of a king. It spit the hook and I was glad. I fished till around 8:30 or so and headed home. Not sure if Kyle got anything. I know he didnt while I was down there.

Hahaha! I saw you walking out with that fish when I got there this morning. That river is ALIVE! at night, but they move right through and it dies completely during the day.

No boot and no nate. It was out of respect that I asked for the pic to be removed. The water is actually really nice Nitro its kinda crowded but the skok on a good day is much much worse. You and your boy still nailing the cowlitz steelies?
