When you hook into the fish, stay calm dont try to horse them in, my uncle did that on his first salmon, and sanpped his rod in half.

10/31/2010 8:20:00 PMcool I was out there most all day I left around 2 I hooked a log lmao couple of us thought it to be a nice King as it came up and drifted down river then under I was happy at first then saw the nice dark log tears 2 missed hookups before that. (actual piece of wood) I released it should of kept for an attempt to smoke some store bought salmon. you weren't the one that lost your handle were you? Nick
