Fished from Fall City on up a ways from 7:30 to 10am. Tried a variety of jigs under a float in a few different areas. Tried tipping it with a little shrimp also, but no luck. Fought with my new baitcaster for a third of the time I was out, so it was a learning experience for the most part, but got a little fishing done while I was at it. Had one quick takedown while I was dealing with my backlash, but that was it. Very windy which didn't help matters. The water was fairly low and clear. Not a ton of people fishing, but a few. I didn't see anything caught, but I spent most of the time staring at my spool. A good practice session.
Note: hemostats work wonders on tangled braid.
