hey everyone! had no School yesterday so begged my dad to take me to the sky. we had a late start so we ended up fishing in Sultan we were on the bridge side. And we found a sign that said,"fishing area" it costed us a buck. so we hiked for awile into this deep pool so i got a white and red jig out and started to jig. lost about 2 jigs snagging on rocks and other garbage. so we decided to get on the road and cross a bridge and we pulled over. and hiked awile and we were on the Gravel side were the sultan meets the sky. I was using orange yarn and some old steealhead eggs under a bober and my dad was using the same thing but with white yarn and WHAM!!! fish on my dad fought this thing like a pro! ended up being a 10 pound hatchery but bright and sivler heres a pic

10 pounds? Your dad must weigh 600lbs.

Good to see someone had the last chance to hit the Sky main fork, not the north fork, that is higher up. Any fish out of there is sweet, just not after today........cause it's CLOSED!!!!!!!

used the "SWAG" method of guessing the weight? As of Feb 1 that area of the river is closed. So all should read the regs to avoid getting a ticket.

EAmon___hoffman123 - Nice job out there - but..... what Matt is referring to is that it is illegal to remove a native from the water. Make sure you and your dad remember this for next time.

nice fish, no matter how much it weigh's. funny how everyone wants to remind people of rules. like if you caught it you wouldnt get a pic. ha . ha. we all know if done right and released right away no harm will come of this. that being said some folks unfortunetly dont always do this the correct way resulting in fish mortality.its is rule though and is that persons ricket! i dont know but anyway nice fish. always good to see steelhead success.
