Got up a bit late this morning but decided to take a stroll behind the cabin and check out the Sky and see if there were any Steel biting or not. Saw one green drift boat slowly working the holes upriver a bit... Couldn't see if they were catching anything or not. I fished for about an hour and hooked into a small 14" Dolly that was released... Also hooked into a early chrome humpy on my Mepps Spinner, but as I was getting it closer to reach down and unhook it with the needle nose pliers, its thrashing around unhooked itself as I watched it swim off... After a bit, took a stroll down above where the Wallace joins the Sky and checked that out for a bit. Such a nice day to be outside, and was getting warm so just decided to call it quits and do some hiking nearby in search of some lost Beaver Ponds or something =) I love the Skykomish, reminds me kinda of the upper Skagit...

Good luck out there gents !

Nothing like the upper skagit. Born and raised there just down from baker river. Sorry this is just my opinion.

Thanks Gringo ! The first pic is with my Kodak digital, and the other is with my HTC Thunderbolt phone. Lol. I need both because the camera phone is slow catching the fish in action shots. Otherwise it just about does a better job ! =) OU812 ~ Hey no worries there partner, I LOVE the upper Skagit. I'm always exploring up that way... I tried hard last year and this year hunting where the "good" spots would be for that Summer Chinook Fishery that was open up there past Rockport not to long ago, but I think I know of a few now however ;) Next year I'll be ready ! Spent to much time on the Sky for the last year, so sucked up a lot of my time... Hehe

leviP try jigging a pink hoochie skirt under a pink jig head in the loiwer river sections. Throw a small buzz bomb too, that also can be effective
