Man this is becoming a drag, launched in Conway and ran up scouting to to the forks. Planted my butt just down the N/F. Seen on above on jig. I moved down around the corner and parked inside bend. Boat came in and parked above me, 2 hrs they had there fish, me 2 on and lost at the net. Not horsing in any way I still lost my fish.

The other folks, GOOD LORD. Tugged and pulled etc, water churning like an egg beater. Went town a way scouting, then headed up and back down the S/F. Gave it a shot there and said good Day.

3 fresh fish on and gone, not a roller to be seen....... Went to the Everett Boat Launch this eavning to see what the count was, no good at all. A guy I talked to was out there for about 9 hours and seen 5 nets.

Sat the count was about 200 he said, were are the fish ? Strong out tides keeping them out ? I hope this coming weeks tides will inprove things...... If I'm not wrong there should be fish all over by now.

Longer winter messed things up a lil bit. Its like that everywhere. Springers late summer steel came late kings are a lil later then usual and pinks are slowly showing but a lil late also. Its like that everywhere.

Don't be discouraged, Its frustrating when the river is running this high late in the year, that snow just didn't melt fast enough, but it seems the fish are just shooting up the river like silver bullets and not hanging around. I've been hooking them in mt vernon area and all the way up to Sedro Woolley. Talked with some guys up by Day Creek and they're hooking a few, crazy right. They are there, but shooting straight up like little rockets. that might be why the numbers don't seem so huge right now. Happy Fishing.
