Hit the Puyallup later in the afternoon after trying for several hours and striking out at Brown's Point during the morning hours. Big disappointment after the previous Saturday at Brown's Point when I hooked three and landed two nice pinks. Anyway, I drove over to the river and fished behind the Fred Meyer parking lot along with a pretty good crowd of fisherman. I met two guys there, Sean and Nick, who were fishing next to me and helped me to land the biggest pink I've ever caught, between 6 and 7 pounds! But unfortunately I tied the fish with a stringer onto my wading belt and a little later noticed that my waders felt kind of loose. I looked down and saw that my belt, the stringer and of course the fish had fallen off and washed down river! Argh, oh well at least it wasn't a big KING that I lost! During about 4 hours of fishing I managed to hook about 6 fish but only landed 2. Lots of fish were caught, especially in the tailout just below the bridge.

Just a heads up: If anyone knows Sean or Nick, let them know that I found their landing net and I will be happy to return it to them if I see them down at the river again. Please have them contact me here and we can arrange for them to pick it up this or next week.

Tight lines everyone!
