9/1/2011 12:39:00 AMYou can keep native silvers but not native kings (you can keep native king jacks). It never hurts to let a native fish go. I really dont know how strong the native stock of silvers is on the puke.

9/1/2011 2:50:00 PMFor RobinsoN. The sad fact of nature is that all salmon return to their place of birth where they spawn, then, within days, die. They do not return to the ocean. Only steelhead make the return trip.

9/1/2011 11:13:00 PMWe returned 2 native coho today on the sound( area 10) thinking we couldn't keep them but that was ok with us, safely returned to fight another day, always better to be safe than sorry

By definition in the rules you can keep kings that are native that are not considered adults but are instead jacks which is a king 12" to 23" in length, 24" and up are adults and would have to released.
Min. size 12". Daily limit 6. Up to 4 adults may be retained, of which
only 2 may be any combination of CHINOOK, COHO and CHUM.
Release wild adult CHINOOK.
I could be wrong but thats how it looks and i have had various other people confirm this.

9/3/2011 10:52:00 AMChengpu is correct, you only have to release WILD ADULT CHINOOK on the Puyallup River. Chinook Jacks (12in-23in Wild or Hatchery) aren't considered adults.
