Well, this is the last day of fishing for me in Washington for a while.I`m heading out to boarding school in Pennsylvania tomorrow morning and won`t be posting any more reports until I get back for Christmas break.Anyway, it was a great last day of fishing.Got there at 3:00 but today the bite didn`t turn on `till 6:00, but when it did it was fast and furious. They started jumping and rolling all over.Caught my limit in aprox. 10 minutes.Use a buzz bomb to get out where the fish are.The guy fishing next to me was using a1/4 oz. jig and just could`t get it out far enough to be as effective. Fish on almost every other cast.Even my Dad hooked one on one of the THREE casts he made and if you know what my Dad`s level of fishing skill is then you know that that`s really saying something!lol.Anyway it was a great last trip fishing for humpies this season.I had planned on a trip to Wallace lake earlier in the day but having my bike stolen last week and failure on my Dad`s part to get a new one resulted in a cancelation :(.Oh well,I guess I can`t complain to much.Hey, does anyone know of any good lakes/creeks/rivers near Scranton? Thanks

If you are willing to drive to Lake Erie, you will find steelhead fishing like you have most likely never seen before (unless you have been to Lake erie before). =) With a little research and development, it's normal to hook 30 to 50 a day. The last two years have been way down from normal, but 10 to 20 fish days are still common. If it comes back to normal this fall, do some push ups and morning runs because you're going to need it! Also, check out Youtube videos at your convenience. The only downfall here is that they don't have the saltwater diet, which means size and strength vary. Finally, before the board lights up with those who want to define steelhead vs. rainbow trout, just know that they're anadromous, of saltwater lineage, and a total hoot!!! Enjoy.
