As much as I try, I just can't get the hang of drift fishing, so I switched back to my blue fox spinner since it's more comfortable.
I arrived at my usual spot around 1300 and was into fish right away. I downsized my spinner and switched colors today in hopes of getting a silver or two. 15 min after arriving I had one on that I was sure I was going to get, a little 3 lb jack. I got too excited, though, and pulled the hook from his mouth.
25 pinks released later and I finally hook another, this was about a 4lb jack. Total for the day was over 25 pinks released, 1 coho caught, 1 lost, 1 follow, and countless other fish lost or missed. Still a fun time on the river.
