The good news: I found the fish. The bad news: I didn't catch crap. Went out in the monsoon after work and fished the Auburn area. Fish rollin all over the place (95% of them pinks). I fished every spoon in my box. I caught one Jack and threw it back and I thought I snagged a really large stick. I reeled it in and it was no stick. It was the most horrific, beat up, worn out king I have ever seen. The thing was huge. It's skin was fallin off, you could see it's skull. I shudder just thinking about it. I hooked it in the side and it just let me real it in. No fight. Released it and it just sat there accentually saying to me, "Kill me. Please let me die." Spooked me and I switched holes. Tried Jigging no luck, tried a spinner, no luck. I am thinking next outing of weighting my spinner to get it deeper. I did talk to a few guys that caught some nice looking Coho fish eggs in really fast water. Not sure if spoons will work in water that fast. All and all a memorable trip!

I've seen anglers keep fish it not much better shape. They all say the same thing..."It'll make good smokin'" Wait a minute, cooked, broiled, baked or smoked. You're still eating that decaying thing...Say YUK three times.

I hate to say this but your going to need to soak that spinner in shrimp juice for a week. Nothing like rotting flesh to stink stuff up.

Well, just remember that when all the PETA idiots are protesting against fishing because it hurts fish. Far better to get bonked than to turn into a living corpse swimming around for days or weeks.

We had PETA protesters show up at the weigh-in of a bass tournament. We told them that all fish caught were released. Made no difference. It was still cruel. One of the contestants said, "I think these bass are much happier being dropped back in the lake, than dropped in Wesson Oil at 350 degrees."

Eggs? On the Green River? I thought bait was prohibited until after October 15th. Does anyone have the scoop on this?
Thanks in advance.

This is my first post. But I thought I would share my knowledge of the green. I have pulled out close to 30 silvers out of the green. The secret is small beads and yarn. I use a fluorescent pink bead and an egg colored bead with black yarn. Took me forever to get that combo. I tried everything listen on here and none of it worked in the fast water. 1/2 ounce weight with 6 foot leader. glides across the bottom. I will be posting picks of the latest bunch of silvers I caught this past weekend.

@Ted - I would love to see a pic of your beads and setup. Not much of a drift fisherman myself but can't argue with those numbers. How many have you caught this week? Looking forward to seeing your post. Thanks!

Jim, Sorry for taking so long to get bac to you, I have been fairly busy this past week. I have tried the Green a few more times and only hooked a few, landing just one of them- a very rosie buck. I do believe the green is done. I have been told by many optimistic fisherman that there is another run due to hit. I hope so. I do not have a pic of my rig, but I will see about taking one tonight.
