This is my first fishing report. I am just learning how to fish the rivers and have not really had any success at all since the pink run on the puyallop. The last month I feel like I have been running around like a chicken with his head cut off. I read the fishing reports everyday. I go fishing atleast 3 times a week all over the place and have not caught a thing until yeasterday on the green. I tried every method corkie, spinner, jig, floating a jig, and finally hooked into a very bright 6lb coho on a 50/50 dike nite. I am sorry I dont have a camera and I hope as my skills continue to improve I will have more to report.

Way to go!!! That is awesome, nothing like a sweet reward after a long period of patience and persistence! Keep at it and keep switching techniques and learning your spots. Oh and get a camera dag gone it, I am just a sucker for fish pics : ) - The photos will also help you chronicle your adventures for family and friends! - Ok still a bunch of hot air, I just want to see pics!

That's great! I was in the same boat as you not too long ago, and I can definitely say it just takes time and research (with the occasional help from folks on the board). Good job!

Most fishermen know the feeling. I've been watching fish swim by my lure for a couple months now too. Hard to know what you're doing wrong. I think I just figured out I'm not fishing holding water. Fishing convenient spots doesn't necessarily mean the fish are going to stick around long enough to try your offering. Best advice I've been given is if you don't catch something in a spot, move along to another place. Don't waste time on a bad location.
