11/30/2011 1:23:00 AMThanks guys ! luis, yeah the river has been quiet the last couple of days as the Salmon fisherman have moved on, so the holes are not as spooked now. The river also was very high which brought some fresh ones in, and now the water is low and clear leaving them pooled up =) I've always prefered just straight tying the Mepps Aglia to the line... Just like the action and feel of the lure as naked as possible as I work it through the water in the smaller streams I fish ;) This small buck was caught at 2:00 pm in the afternoon, and the other Steelhead I lost was hooked around 2:30 pm. So glad to see some Steelies finally creeping in !

12/1/2011 3:03:00 PMBeautiful fish! Thanks for the reports. I use a Mepps 1 or 2 all the time for trout fishing in lakes. I'll have to get a Mepps 3 and try it in the rivers.
