Fished on the skookumchuck again on saturday, the fishing was nothing near as hot as it was on thursday but there were still a bunch of fish to be caught, I lost 5 fish before I finally landed my first steelhead which was around the 10lb range. I had to work much harder than on thursday to get my fish and the fishing really slowed down around noon. I caught my final fish at about dusk when I changed from float fishing to glow balls. First cast with glow balls I had a fish on, no head lamp and minimal light, it was very tricky landing a fish in the dark especially when you cannot see where it is and trying to make it avoid the bushes and snags in the water. All in all I caught 5 steelhead and lost another 6. I had been fishing the skookumchuck with barbless hooks but it wasnt until about 4pm that someone saw me debarbing my hooks and asked me what I was doing, I guess its always better to be safe than sorry, i guess it was a good thing because 2 of my fish were native or atleast they had adipose fins intact so less harm was done. The fish were noticably darker than they were on thursday but there were a few bright fish to be had and I got them :) If my photo doesnt show up, the fish in my avatar are the ones I kept
