I got to Rieter on the opener on June 1st at 10am after checking out the slow action for King's down in Sultan. The parking lot was crowded and most of the holes were taken. Went down to cable hole and along the walk down I saw a number of fish caught. I float fished for an hour and a half and a number of fish were taken around me on spoons. Switched to spoons for 45 minutes or so with no luck then switched back to a float and jig (Pink head, white tail, prawn tipped) and hooked in to a 8-10# buck. Fished for another hour and headed home.

This is my first post (and not last) since I started steelhead fishing a year and a half ago and the information I've learned here along the way has been invaluable. Thank you!

Thanks for the welcome AFK. @ montana_sam, when I was throwing spoons I was using 2/5 oz silver rvrfshr but caught the fish off a jig (Pink head, white tail, prawn tipped).
