Arrived around 11am at the little park at the 5th street bridge. I found about 30 fisherman along the riverside and one fella was walking out with a limit. I fished for several hours, everyone was catching pink Salmon, even one young girl caught her first fish; approx 4 lb pink salmon, and proceeded to catch two more. She was taught well by her "Papa" who had her tag her fish immediately. The fishing raised and lower through-out the day, some times the fish biting hard, other times biting slow. This was a great day, a lot of fish in the river, but we expect many many more in days to come. Some got fish on jigs, others on Corkies and some on Corkies and yarn. Mostly reds, oranges, pinks and yellow wool as a hook tail. Black-headed jigs with orange was killing em for a while. One old guy was fishing a pink jig about as poorly and jerkily as possible hooked several fish and landed one that I saw. The pro's with the right rig and the right lure and the right drift with the right presentation were hooking fish one after the other. Overall the fisherman were courteous, no clowns, no jerks.

Great to hear. My co-workers son also did well yesterday. He brought in approximately 20 fish and kept his limit of 4 adults. He was by the Sumner Treatment Plant. I will be out on the river this afternoon after work. Maybe someone would like to join me? I'll be out there Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Glad it's picking up!!!
