9/17/2013 3:48:00 PMfirst off, switch to barbless single hooks on everything to avoid hurting fish that you dont want to keep and to avoid tickets (most places are selective fisheries these days). second, switch to fly fishing. It's much more rewarding in my opinion if you dont care about eating fish as much as just catching them.

This was my first summer that I really spent time fishing and I am hooked! How do I tell the difference between a sea run cutt and a rainbow. Also any suggestions for fishing spots? I fished the cedar quite a bit this summer.

Steelhead are just ocean run Rainbow Trout and you're already in a good location to catch them, but the winter run on the Snoqualmie is the popular one. It'll be starting around November. You may be able to target them with the gear you have. If you haven't checked out the WashingtonLakes forum there is a lot of good info there and you can ask questions there too.
