Fished the skok for the first time today. Started off slow but once I learned where they were and where to cast, the rest of the morning was a blast. Ended up keeping 3 big and pretty bright dogs and a smallish chrome silver hen. Just drifting a single roe bead. The pic is of my "big daddy". I'm guessing he's in the high teens or maybe even pushing 20 lbs. He gave me a hell of a fight. He's still pretty bright too. Good times! Met some good guys too.

Yeah the meat was in good shape. It will smoke up nicely. Thanks Pat, hope to maybe see you out there someday.

There is a no kill on the Snohomish this year. Is the Snohomish the only river system under the catch and release?

This is the Skokomish. Different river than the Snohomish. You can keep 6 fish on the Skok. 4 can be adults, release all Chinook.

Dude that is a good looking Chum. Nice and bright. Was it a war zone down there? The pictures look like the pressure was pretty light.

There were a good number of guys in this particular hole. Elbow to elbow, but for the most part, everyone worked together really well. Except for this Russian guy who did everything you aren't supposed to do. Casting over everyone, running bare hook...you name it, this guy was doing or not doing it. LOL...but the rest of the guys/gals were actually good folks to fish with. I had a good time.
