With just two decent days of fishing forecasted I decided to call off work and go fishing instead. Got a late start due to doctor visits but set up shop by 12:00 pm. Got my first bite 45 minutes later and was a dark silver...let her go. Another 5 minutes later caught and released another dark silver. Another 30 minutes with no action and I get a hit by missed and as I was reeling it in I got another hit and was able to set the hook properly this land. Landed and bonked it. Didn't expect the silver to be so bright and thought it was a steelhead. Had to get a second opinion. Nothing for the next 30 minutes and I packed up. Oh yeah and I couldn't get a single bite from the chum--odd.

What area were you in on the green river North or South of Auburn?

What type of spinner? Chum are really into bait right now which is why you did not have much action from them. Curious about the section of river too!

I was out by Hwy 18 near Black Diamond Rd. It's my first time out on this part of the river so I'm not too familiar with it.

Pat, I threw everything I had at them...from cured salmon roe to spoons and spinners. Just no prawns.

Looking for Chum, but catching a Coho sounds like a great day fishing!!!

That section of the Green has been really slow. Stick close to the inside seam floating eggs or jigs with shrimp. That's how I've seen them being caught within the last couple weeks. River has been high and fast. Stick to that inside 10-20 feet of river.
