Hit up Reiter this morning on the Hatch side at 6:00 AM. I was surprised the water was so low. Fishing was tough but there was a few taken out of there today. THe highway side seems much more productive in low water, and they beat us 2:1. I think its because the slot over there is deeper and the steelies feel more safe in the deeper water, when the flow is so low. I saw 4 come out of the hatchery side and about 10 on the highway side. The darker jigs tipped with prawn seemed to work the best. Mostly under floats but some on drift gear too. Beautiful day on the river, but I came home empty handed. I would say out of the 60 or so people on the river about a dozen left with fish. I saw two guys limit by 11:00AM.
