On Saturday, my girlfriend and I fished the Grande Ronde. We got down on the river at about 7:15. We were fishing corky and yarn, and jig and bobber. We got our first fish at around 7:30, girlfriend caught it on corkie and yarn. It was a real skinny wild hen, and it was her first steelhead! Not even 20 minutes later, she hooked up again, and this time it was a hatchery buck, so we were able to keep that one. Soon after, I hooked up, and it was a dandy. Initially, I thought I was snagged, but then it slowly started to move. After about 3 minutes of it just sitting in the current, it made a huge run out into the rapids and jumped, and that's when we saw how big it was. After a long battle, we finally brought it to shore and it was a big, wild buck. After a photoshoot, we sent him on his way. Around 10:00, I nailed a little hatchery buck on a jig, and that ended up being the last one we landed. We lost 2 more before we left around 12:45.
To put a downer on the trip, my car broke down right outside Colfax. Turns out that one of the timing belt pulleys froze up and shredded the belt. So the past 3 days have been spent in colfax doing repairs. Other than that, it was great trip.

Woops! It didn't upload for some reason. Is there any way to do it after the fact?
