Was targeting Coho once again at Nugent's corner , but it wasn't meant to be today, used every dick nite available with DNA and only found smaller fish.... Why I rate this a 3 star day is I did happen to get a very bright hatchery king ( I have been told by many in the rivers and sports shops all the kings had already spawned out and would be dark and worth nothing to eat by now, how wrong was that?) The other thing that's very strange about this fish was the meat was actually white/off pink and chocked full of eggs. I would have released this hen but after a close inspection, seeing the hook set was down deep in the mouth and one of the gills was broken and bleeding so I kept it... Anyone ever seen or had a fish like this from the Nooksack?

Just a FYI, went today once again to Nugent's corner this morning, not a single roller to be seen, did manage a bright hen humpy that was literally jumping clean outta the water spewing eggs and it was darting up and down the river, released it after about 2 minutes of fight. Left and went up to the north fork and saw 2 really red sockeye ( I'm guessing 15lbs plus as they resembled a tree trunk and were really active )

Talked to a few guys today that said the north fork is AFU and walked near the hatchery but had no luck, stating only dead humpy's in most holes stacked one on top of another. Its evident humpy's are still spawning near the rock pile at mosquito lake bridge ( water was so clear you could count them moving through )

WHERE ARE THE SILVERS!

I went out this morning near ferndale. No action either no fish even rolling. I got one coho last saturday around there, but from what I have heard it is still few and far between. Guys on boats doing better, but that isn't surprising. I was catching dime bright coho near the end of october in Lynden so I am not worried. The run may be a little later than normal due to low flows or who knows what.

Still in the salt! A little rain should start bring them in!

A lot of folks on the water are stating the Tribal nets have and will continue to be in the water for the next weeks ahead, not jumping to any conclusions on this comment..... ?? I have seen bright pinks up north in the north fork and others just as zombie as can be--- only 2 silvers so far this year and itching for more... Anyone have a good row cure to share..... ( not counting on them but hey it's worth the shot!)

Any of the store cures work great as long as you understand how to properly cure the eggs. Some of the store cures can be a little vague on how much to actually put on. I recently started using pro cure's liquid cure and it has been by far the easiest to use. As for what else you may add.....could be anyone's guess
