Man! My Coho mojo has been a no-show mo-fo so far this season!

We started at Cady park about 7:30am and pulled plugs down just past Farmer's riffle about 1 mile downstream from the Hwy 9 bridge. We anchored up and drifted eggs and casted dick nites and corky/yarn until the tide changed. We then drifted eggs and cast jigs all the way back home. Only saw 1 coho jump by where we were anchored, but had zero bites.

The excitement of the day was seeing a dead, beached sturgeon that must have been 10-12 feet long I didn't even know they were in the Snohomish!

Will try again tomorrow - this time heading upstream. I heard a few folks caught up by the 522 bridge and Thomas Eddy

Hey Pat, You get some style points for applying your skills on the river in ways that should have yielded results. Darn Coho did not seem to care. As I reported yesterday, there was a non-stop aerial display for 2-3 hours at Thomas eddie, but few fish on. We need to figure out how to entice or piss them off enough to bite our presentation. Good luck out there!

There are lots of sturgeon in the sloughs, ive seen a 5footer caught there one day, and pics of others that same guy caught. He said its a pretty good sturgeon fishery down there. John martini of johns sporting goods, his wife also caught a sturgeon in the main river a couple years back.

Hi Mickey - I was actually just pondering that before I got on the computer and looked at your post(s) - I removed the duplicate comments.
Regarding that fish - it was bleeding out of its mouth, so it was injured for sure. I thought maybe a boat hit it, but that seemed pretty unlikely. Then I read another post today about a couple of oversized treble hooks with 100lb test on them that got pulled up... maybe someone was poaching for sturgeon and got this one?
