Danny, knew what he meant, just skeptical about that size fish not snapping an UL

If I can figure out how to add it, I have a pic with a similar fish and the same rod and reel combo from a few years ago. That one was on a #3 blue fox in blue and silver. Good size real with good drag combined with the curvy back bone to absorb shock/ keep constant pressure on the fish has worked well so far.

I could believe it. I fish a 9.5' UL noodle rod for salmon/steelhead. Amazing things can happen when you play your drag right. I keep the drag loose and if there making a good run on me I use my thumb on the line to slow em down. Of course, I have also had em spool me as well when I thought my rod couldn't take it and I had to just let them run, and that's no fun! If what you say is true Clyve, good job!

Tight lines all!

I shouldn't be as skeptical, I have landed 24 inch trout on a 7'6" UL on 4lb line.

With 6/30 braid, I really don't worry about breaking the line, so I keep some pretty good pressure on them. And sorry, so far it has been beyond me on how to get that pic up. Color of the spinner in the original post was Fire Tiger. I am a growing fan for using it in murky or even silty water. I caught a 20" bull trout on the Hoh in September after several days of heavy rain on the same set up. Usually don't like any thing but natural colors, but for these situations, it worked.

Hey Clyve, it has been my experience that if you don't load the pic with the original post, you wont be able to.
