I went out this morning to Al Borlin park but didn't have any luck, so I tried again this afternoon and was able to get one. I casted into a little bit slower water with a Vibrax #4 green and was able to get one to bite. It put up a fun little fight. It was a bit smaller than my others this season, 23 inches long, however it was a very nice bright silver.

INCOMING DRAMA. Over 6k fish in the hatchery as compared to less than 2k last year. How in the heck do they forecast returns anyway? For hatchery fish, this year is already 4x better than last year. And after all the rain, I had figured the majority of the run being over.

Great looking fish!

Yep, the Sky picks up now. I got one in just 5 casts on Wednesday with a size 4 Mepps spinner with the yellow/red body. Small fish...maybe 4.5 lbs, but hell, not bad for a hour max trip before the World Series. Green vibraxes work for me too. Congrats on the fish.
