Well I stayed at Paradise estates for the the last couple of days. This is a community right at the base of mount rainier, right before the national Forrest. There is 2 tiny little ponds in the estates Paradise pond and Lake Paradises. You don't need a licence to fish either and the lake used to get planted. But you have to be staying at the estates to have access to them. The pond is about a 1/3 of an acre and the lake is about 3 acres. I fished the pond mostly being as how I could almost see it from the place we were staying. Big creek flows into the pond so there is a natural occurring population of cutthroat. I also caught a catfish and some bluegills. The biggest fish I caught was about 8", cutt. The cutts just slammed lures or worms on a bobber, one fish almost ripped my ultra light out of my hands. I only fished the lake once because of the swimmers. Not great fishing but good enough for walking distance
