Started researching a new lake to go fish at after fishing Silver Lake in Everett. I was looking for a little more laid back scenery than just houses.
Came across some interesting prospects while searching the county's web site.
What the heck might as well give one of them a try.
30 minute drive from the house, porta potty and a boat ramp to fish from. Bald Eagle and Ospreys, fish rising all over the lake and pouring down rain.
Get the two rods out of truck ( I have the 2 pole endorsement), setup the rod holders, fill the bucket half full of water and bait the hooks.
1 pole is set up with a slip bobber and the other with slip sinkers and 3' of leader.
Worm on the bobber and pink Gulp eggs on the sinker line.
Toss them both out and get a bite on the sinker rod almost immediately. The trout decides to cross over the bobber line just to keep things interesting.
Get the fish in and drop it in the bucket of water.
The two tangled lines are a mess- both are braid.
Cut everything apart and retie it back together. Decide to fish with only 1 rod for awhile.
I limit out in the next 1/2 hour. Pretty much 10-12" trout.
Return today and have the ramp all to myself again. Pouring down rain.
Put both rods out as far apart as I can get them.
Bobber goes under. First fish in the bucket. Before I can get the bobber back out the second rod goes off. 2nd fish in the bucket.
Both rods back out- the sinker rod goes off. 3rd fish in the bucket.
Bait and cast back out.
Bobber goes under. Fighting the fish trying to keep it away from the second line and that rod goes off.
Lift the bobber fish out of the water and drop it in the bucket and grab the second rod- nice fish on this time.
Dehook and drop in the bucket. Lift the bobber fish up dehook and drop in the bucket. LIMIT
35 minutes start to finish.
Tomorrow I am only going to use 1 rod!!

So fisherman92 knows the secret lake. You were suppose to let out a holler when you hooked a bass. It was quiet so I wasn't sure you got any.
Great day of fishing in the rain.
Today it took about 2 hours to limit. No big fish let them all go.
Elino,
That picture was 2 days worth of fish. 5 each day.
