Went to Hawk Creek for a last of the year camping/fishing trip. Weather was cooperative and the colors were beautiful. There were 8-10 deer coming down to the campground to feed on the falling apples every day. We fished the Hawk Creek arm on Sat. a couple hours in the morning and again in the late afternoon. We had fair success trolling rapalas on 4 colors of leaded at about 1.8-2 mph. We had 2 boats and boated 5 each with a few lost. Other boats seemed to be having as good of luck as we did. Fished again Sunday for about an 1 1/2, but little success, 1 fish boated and a couple lost. Fish were beautiful, nice rainbows 16"-18". Hope to hit it again soon.
