Can you say "boat traffic"? I knew you could.... I recommend avoiding the Hawk Creek area anytime between 10 am and 7 pm on a weekend right now! Jet skiiers, tubers, and worst of all wake boarders buzzing by constantly making fishing almost impossible. The worst offender, however, was a slalom skiier and his Malibu boat who came by at 30 mph and less than 50 feet away with no spotter in the boat (illegal) and then buzzed past two other fishing boats! I guess the only flat water on Roosevelt was next to us! But I digress....the fishing was slow with only a handful of small bass and only one 2 lb walleye which was delicious! I love the scenery of this lake but I think I'll head for a quieter location next time. Slow fishing I can deal with, sea sickness from wakes is something else...
