Put in at Richland's Columbia Point, the Columbia was full of trash: big logs, branches, sagebrush, etc. Went downstream to the confluence of the Yakima River. Lots of fish in the fishfinder, couldn't get one to bite. I fished with a worm below a bobber since that was the way the rod was set up. Finally switched to a diving plug, and a chartruse jig, but still no luck. I saw several other boats fishing the same area. Water below the confluence was really muddy but the fish had to be bumping into one another, my screen on the fishfinder was full of images, saw a number of larger fish break the surface. I wound up with spending more time working on my motor than fishing.
