Fished for six hours. Caught the trout when it was still light outsite, after dark they didn't even bite.

Went to deeper water to try out for Burbots. Used a short leader with a full worm, threw it in and just waited. They can swollow your worm and just sit there(enjoying the after taste maybe). Had to let them bite for a while in order to set the hook, other wise they don't get chance to swallow.

The fish are interesting looking, when cleaning them you can pull ALL the skin off with pliers in one run. Can't wait to try the for dinner today!

Great job man! Did you eat the Burbot yet? I hear they are better than Walleye which is hard to believe. How deep were the Burbot and how long did you have to wait between bites? Take it easy!

Nice Job! What type of structure, depth and bait for the burbot? Thanks

The structure was sand, depth was 40 to 50 ft, used a whole worm for bait. Yes they are very delicious!

This is my first look at a burbot. I have heard about them but never fished for them. Were you anchored or drifting? And the all important question, where on the lake were you?
