Fished L.R today, targeting some big kokes, but ended up with rainbows. We got a 3.75 lb rainbow and 3 other smaller rainbows. We also got 4-5 rod slams, fish that for some reason couldn't get hooked up on the double trebles on the perch pattern Rapala. We fished for about 5 hours with 2 down riggers and 2 with clip-on weights.

Sorry, no pic now. The camera is still in the boat. I'll add later. We had fun and at least caught a few fish during our first ever L.R. outing.

A local at the dock showed us a 4.5 lb (estimate) Kokanee that was bright and beautiful.

What size Rapala were you using and was it a jointed? I read of them being used at Roosevelt quite often but have yet to try one so it would be nice to know size and style so I can pick up a few and see if they perform better than the Rip'n Minnows we have good luck with. Nice report and if you want pics added after the fact, email them to Mike Carey and he'll get them posted for you. :-)

Go with a Rapala GFR , J-9 . They are Gold Flouresant Red , with a white strip on the belly !
