HIgh Wind Advisory for Saturday night into Sunday!! Real Men of Genius!!! Here's to you Mr. Hurricane Fisherman!! Wake up at 4 am and the wind was howling!! But think positive right??? Wind can't blow for ever!! We pass the Veteran's Memorial Cemetary in Medical Lake and the flag is stiff as a board with wind out of the SW!! Stay posititve!! Trip oin Hwy 2 is more like a scene from the movie Twister! Cows are flying thru the air and this might be a bad idea?!?

Get to the launch at Lincoln and it's a quiet as ever....all right, game on!!

Notice that the water was low right off the bat. Drawdown is in full affect!! Looks to be a good 10-15 ft. lower then the last time I fished. Head downriver to our favorite walleye hole, music is blasting on the IPod Dock!! Don't Stop Believing, by Journey is rocking the joint!

Worm up and start our drift. Kicker motor was critical today!! Wind was off and on all morning. We used the kicker to battle the wind and current to attempt to jig vertically. Constant contact with the bottom is key with the Walligators!! Also used stinger hooks for those lathargic winter walleyes!! Fish on yells my partner!! Grab the net!! Let the blood bath begin! Fishing wasn't hot, but consistant all day long. We did end up with 11 Walleye, 1 Burbot, and 1 trout. Walleye ranged from 16 to 24 inches!!

Great day all things considered!! Thank you Mother Nature for your cooperation! Big shot out to the the crew from Quincy! I didn't think that there was going to be any "bright" minds crazy enough to be out on the water like us.

Good Luck to everyone!!! Walleye bite is on, and is only going to get better!! Hope they don't screw up the water levels too much!!

Tight LInes Yall,

Oh Man...I can hear those beer battered filets cooking in the Fry Daddy! Almost taste em' too... err? (almost).Lol Theres something to be said about "Positivity" ..."Don't stop....Believ-innn'....whoa-oa-oahhhh!!!!" Dat's a hella' classic rock motivation tune. Any chance you give up a little tip on what you were throwing at the wallies? grub or skirt jig? Tippin' em with a crawler? anyway Mo', Greaaat Report! The mighty Jigg-a-roo.

Thanks for the great report! I haven't heard that this year is any different, so the water level will probably continue to drop. It's at about 1273, and by the end of March it usually gets to about 1260.

Don't Stop Believing, by Journey. Wow, a man after my own heart. Can you clue us in on what the water temp is out there, and how deep you were finding them?
Happy fishing,

It was a magical day on the water, well any day on the water is magical!!! Rocking Journey just upgraded the mojo!! We worked from 7 bays to White Rock! Wind blown structure held fish. I use Chartruse grub with a stinger hook. Go light on jigheads so you can get a better feel for that nibble of a lethargic winter walleyes!! Crawler is always standard for walleye fishing. Stinger hooks are deadly right now! Fish are just nipping at that worm, real slow. Why not put a hook there?? Close to 70 percent of fish I catch are on the stinger, DEADLY!
Hope this helps!! Get off you A@$ and get to the water boyz!! Can't catch em on the couch!

Yeah heres to you Mr. hurricane fisherman! The way I see it, fishing is a lot like baseball. Your at the plate waiting for the pitch, here it comes right down the middle, you swing and miss kind of like when you go to set your hook and come up empty. thats how it was for me yesterday. Or you are at first looking to steal second and get thrown out, just like when you've got that real big pole bender on and it gets off, happened to me all day long too.But I can't complain because a couple of weeks ago I was hitting grand slams out of the park. My batting average did fall a little yesterday, but I'm still in the 3 hundreds.
