We made it on the water a little after 7am and started our drift. The weather was ideal with very little wind, but it was a bit cold, good thing I brought my portable heater. We had to work hard to get our fish, but we did end up with some very nice fish. My buddy caught a 7lb 8oz walleye, wow what a blast that was. He was useing ultra lite gear too, I thought his pole was going snap right in half as this fish peeled line off his reel. It was the biggest walleye that we have ever caught, unfortionatly this fish inhaled his jig and stinger hook and we we had a difficult time removing it. We put it in one of my live wells all by its self, and did everything we could to keep her alive so we could release her, but she didn't recover. That was a real dissappointment. I guess that is the down side of useing a stinger hook, but that rarely happens( thankfully). We ended the day with 2 burbot 5 rainbows and 4 eyes. I caught a 4lb 5oz eye, that was my PB.

Nice fish slayer, You must have found a hole in the weather as I was fishing from 9 to 12:30 and it snowed about 2 inches and the wind blew so hard that any exposed skin was froze in seconds. i am a hard core fisherman but i could only stand it for a little while. Also the fish did not cooperate. Caught two rb's from shore and could not bait my hook after the second fish as my fingers were froze stiff. However, great job on the large eye.
