Fished Eden Harbor & Spring canyon. From about 9:30 till 2. Plunked many colors of Power Bait on 3 rods between my youngest & I. We never had a nibble! Weather was pretty cold (upper 20's) & winds were calm. That left it really foggy. Everything was beatifully frosted thuogh & lookin' a lot like Christmas.

Your youngster dosen't even look cold, or the Lab either with the jacket on, you sure have a couple of great fishing partners.

Hey Lewis, Jeremy is a good fire builder(notice the propane torch).
kenbarb, our lab is young & wild. I really like her coat for our benefit as much as hers. She can't come up to you and shake all the water off on you!! Also, maybe getting skunked wasn't so bad. I'm afraid she will be part of the landing process.LOL

I love your lab too and got a great chuckle out of your "firestarter". I use one just like when I fire up the woodstove at home. Trust me, the lab WILL be part of the landing process, ours is. For that matter, if I were to hang a ball of bait like that in front of her nose, she'd be trying to eat it, or chase it when I cast it out. :-)

Better luck next time!

Hey hewesfisher, our lab is a chow hound & always looking for a snack. We worried she might grab one of our offerings but, that turned out to be no different than the fish!!!! I have taught my boys how to build a fire for survival but, the propane is the "go to" when we are fishin'.
